Our journey began over 40 years ago in the lush landscapes of Kerala, where we initially focused on manufacturing films for wrapping rubber trees and producing tarpaulin films under government contracts. That inspired us to diversify and evolve. So at a time we were also a plastic film manufacturer.
Transitioning from film production, we ventured into the design and manufacturing of various extrusion machines, including recycling machines, pipe extrusion machines, and blown film extrusion machines for the local market.
We developed and delivered over 500 different types of small and medium-sized plastic extrusion machines, creating a significant footprint in the local market as well as establishing valuable connections in Oman, and other parts of the Middle East, which further expanded our reach and reputation. (Year 1985-2005)
In 2015, recognizing the immense potential of Ahmedabad as a hub for the plastics machinery industry, we strategically relocated our operations to Gujarat.
At that time, the Ahmedabad market was saturated with manufacturers producing screw barrels, screen changers, and gearboxes, while high-quality, specialized blown film dies were limited. Machine manufacturers were either struggling to manufacture these dies in-house or relying on imports from China.
We identified this gap and decided to focus our efforts on a single specialized product: blown film dies. This decision marked the beginning of a clear and focused direction.
Under the leadership of Mr. Sugath Sivadasan, with over 30 years of industry experience, one of the two parent companies of Xtrustar—Tanishi Industries—was established. Over time, Tanishi Industries became a recognized name in blown film die manufacturing.
Today, Tanishi Industries operates as an OEM supplier, offering a wide range of blown film dies and pipe extrusion dies. In addition, the company also manufactures and supplies recycling-related components such as screen changers, Mixer-Dryer, Color Mixer, Heating Mixer, Agglomerator, Scrap Grinder used in plastic recycling operations. Continuous in-house R&D is carried out on these recycling components to improve performance beyond standard commercial designs.
