NOTE – Single Stage Vented Recycling (IMPORTANT)

1. Applicable Material Type

Single-stage vented extrusion lines are designed for materials containing moisture, volatiles or trapped air, where degassing is required.

Film Waste: LDPE / LLDPE film (washed or semi-wet), printed film, light laminated film.
Article / Rigid Waste: HDPE and PP regrind, injection moulding scrap, industrial and post-consumer waste.

2. Role of Venting (Degassing)

The venting section allows controlled removal of:

Moisture and water vapour

Printing ink volatiles

Light oils and contaminants

Trapped air from film and flakes

This results in stable melt pressure, improved pellet quality and higher output consistency.

3. Materials Suitable for Vented Extrusion

Vented single-stage lines are suitable for processing:

Washed or semi-wet film waste

Printed and coloured film

Post-consumer rigid waste

Mixed film and rigid streams (within same polymer family)

4. Polymer Grades Compatible with Vented Lines

The following polymer grades are compatible when processed with proper venting control:

LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, PP (Homo & Copolymer), HIPS / ABS, Mildly contaminated post-consumer waste

5. Materials Requiring Multi-Stage or Special Lines

Even with venting, the following materials may require specialised or multi-stage extrusion:

PET (bottle flakes), PA / Nylon, EVOH barrier structures, Highly moisture-sensitive engineering polymers

6. Pelletising Options

Strand Pelletiser: Preferred for stable melt and higher bulk density pellets

Die-Face Cutter: Suitable for higher throughput and compact line layout

Both pelletising options are compatible with single-stage vented extrusion systems.
