Single-stage non-vented recycling lines are ideal for clean plastic waste where stable output, low maintenance and energy efficiency are priorities. Suitable for clean film or rigid plastic waste with low moisture and stable melt flow characteristics.
NOTE – Single Stage Non-Vented Recycling (IMPORTANT)
1. Applicable Material Type
This configuration is suitable only for clean, low-moisture plastic waste.
Film Waste: LDPE / LLDPE film; material must be clean, dry and pre-washed. Agglomerated or densified film is preferred for stable feeding and melt consistency.
Article / Rigid Waste: HDPE regrind and PP regrind / injection moulding scrap; industrial or in-house origin is recommended.
2. Mandatory Conditions for Film Processing
For film waste, all conditions listed below must be strictly met to ensure stable extrusion and output:
Moisture content ≤ 0.5%; no heavy printing ink; no oil, grease or organic contamination; no water carry-over at feeding stage.
Failure to meet these conditions will directly affect melt stability, output and pellet quality.
3. Materials Not Suitable for Non-Vented Extrusion
Single-stage non-vented lines must not be used for wet or unwashed film, high-moisture materials, multilayer or laminated films, heavily printed waste, or post-consumer material requiring degassing or moisture removal.
4. Polymer Grades Compatible with Non-Vented Lines
When processed in clean and dry condition, the following polymer grades are technically compatible:
LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, PP (Homo & Copolymer), and HIPS / ABS (dry, clean regrind only).
5. Polymer Grades Not Recommended
The following polymers require venting or special degassing and are therefore not recommended for non-vented recycling lines:
PET, PA / Nylon, EVOH and barrier blends, and other high-volatility or moisture-sensitive polymers.
6. Best Application Scenario
Single-stage non-vented recycling lines perform best with pre-washed flakes, industrial scrap, in-house production waste, and clean film or rigid regrind with stable melt behaviour.
Final Clarity Statement
Non-vented recycling systems are designed for clean, dry and stable materials.
They are not a substitute for vented or degassing extrusion lines.
