Mutiply L/D to Screw Diameter and add the shank length (part that goes inside gearbox), you will get the exact length of your screw and idea abut the length of the main extruder machine, not including screen changer and beyond equipments. for example is the L/D is 34 and diameter is 100 mm and 160 mm length goes inside gearbox then the total length of the screw will be 100 x 34 +160 = 3560 mm or 140.1″ inch or 11.6 feet.
Barrel in genral cases will be 60 mm plus from screw diameter, a 90 mm screw will have 150 mm diameter of its barrel.
There can have a single or double vent in the machine depending upon the polymer and conditions.
